Volunteers needed!

Sabre GroupEdinburgh Fencing Club is recruiting for 3 voluntary positions to help run and develop Edinburgh's most established fencing club. It's not hard work or long hours: we only ask for a few hours a month, and that includes the monthly committee meeting. Role: Club Treasurer

Job Description: to manage EFC's finances and produce short financial reports (cash flow, income and expenditure, etc) for the monthly committee meetings.
Anticipated commitment: 2-4 hours per month

Role: Marketing and Communications Officer

Job description: to keep our members up-to-date with club news, forthcoming events and recent results using our new monthly email newsletter, website and social media platforms. To write and circulate press releases if our members have achieved a particularly impressive result. To work with the rest of the committee to attract new members. To grow the club's reputation within Edinburgh and Scotland.
Anticipated commitment: 4–6 hours per month

Role: Junior Class Chaperone and Helper

Job description: to help out during our Wednesday junior class by meeting and greeting fencers and parents, supporting the coaches where appropriate and generally being nice to anyone visiting the club. Basic knowledge of first aid is helpful for the various bumps and bruises the kids get, but it's not essential.
Anticipated commitment: 2 hours every 2nd week on Wednesday 18.00-20.00
