2018 Beginners' Classes

Fancy getting fit this year? Want to try something new? Whether you're a budding athlete or a wannabe Jedi, sign up to a fencing beginners class with Edinburgh Fencing Club. We have dedicated classes for children and adults, and we provide all the kit you'll need.

When you come to your class, please wear full-length tracksuit trousers and non-marking trainers, and we suggest you bring a water bottle – fencing is thirsty work.

Edinburgh Fencing Club Women's Foil finalists at the Scottish Open

Congratulations to all of our fencers who competed at the Scottish Open weekend! Here are some of the stand-out results:

Chloe Dickson retained the Women's Foil title for the second year running.

Ruth Clarke came 2nd, and Katie Smith and Lucy Taylor came 3rd to complete an all-EFC women's foil final.

Victoria Duxbury also gained a L8 in women's foil and Richard Rapier achieved a L8 in men's sabre.

Congratulations too to all the fencers from other clubs who train with us at EFC.
